The male is a lot bigger then the female but it seems that both of them take their turn sitting on the nest. Most of their hunting takes place a block south. I personally have not seen any remnants of their kills but apparently they eat a lot of birds. Not sure how that is going to work with the Wrens that will take up residence in Kristons flower pots that will go up this coming weekend. Regardless, very cool to have in our neighborhood, more to come.

It actually worked out that most of us were home over the weekend. Matt had a confirmation church deal up at the Park River Bible Camp which had him out of the picture all weekend. Kriston had a work function Friday evening and Saturday which left Ben and I to get a few things done around the house. There are many riders racing the road this time of year, but not for me. I will get the Fargo 1/2 Marathon finished this weekend and then concentrate on the bike for the up coming MTB season - too much to do with not enough weekends or time.
One of the many Cairns around our house. Numerous rocks that we have "borrowed" from all over the Midwest that have made it into our yard. I have to do something with them, besides, it is funny to hear the questions from the neighbors and people who walk by the house wondering what they are and what they mean.
Last year our neighbor Roy Sanders who lives a block south was bragging all summer long about the hawks that had made a home across his street. Well the hawks decided to move up a block this year and have made residence directly across the street from our house. From Roy I learned that the pair are Cooper Hawks.
