Fargo received less then a half inch of snow on Saturday night - just teasing us. The temps were right for the roads to be glazed over which
in turn meant that the studded
Nokians had to be mounted and put into action. Funny how last week I was still riding 12" from the curb edge and hitting turns without any worries - changed over night. The
Nokians are in their 3rd year of service and still going strong. I highly recommend a winter tire for anyone that lives in an area that it freezes.

If my 10 year old Trek
XO1 could talk it would have some great stories - the ultimate urban commuter. I would guess in excess of 30,000 miles of absolutely everything the city of Fargo could throw at it. Other then the frame, all the components have been changed out at least once. It goes to show that if a bike is well maintained it will go a long way. A crack developed on the down tube at the bottom bracket which is a bad deal as this will be the last winter and my Trek will be a wall ornament.....ride safe!
