Matt and Ben all dressed up for school Friday morning.  The boys are required to go GQ on days when they have a home swim meet.  Ben still attends Ben Franklin Junior High and must really stand out from the other kids when he looks this suave.
Fargo North swam against rival West Fargo Friday night.  WF has a tough team, but FN put the hurt on and beat them.  I could go on and on about my opinion of WF but will keep it short and say it is a really good thing that we came out on top and that we are looking forward to the EDC Championship in a couple of weeks.
Saturday morning the FN Swim Team took on Jamestown High at their pool.  As a team FN is undefeated in dual meets and the streak continued Saturday.  Close score, but FN came together when it counted.

Click here to see a link of the 200 freestyle relay at Jamestown.  The team score was tied going into this event which made the atmosphere in the pool intense.  4 man team in which each guy swims a 50 free.  In addition to swimming fast the key is to have a smooth transition without getting DQ'd for jumping early.  The swim order was TJ Draeger followed by Matt, JBC and finishing up with Obie O.  Jamestown has some fast swimmers.  Obie's had to swim against Willy M. of Jamestown who has the fastest 50 free time in the state.  I tried to pan up and show the splits and it is hard to see the final time, but in the end FN won the relay by only 1 one hundredth of a second!
On the way home from Jamestown we stopped at the Fargodome for who knows what the annual number is Kiwanis Pancake feed.  Always good food and a good cause.

One more thing....warm weather.  Friday AM it was 3 below zero at 5:30AM.  Friday afternoon it warmed up to 30 degrees.  Both Saturday and Sunday it jumped way above freezing to include a natural warm hairdryer of wind to melt the snow.  All of this means that the classic track cross country skiing in Fgo is almost done.  On the plus side, riding to and from work on my bike has been pleasant.  Another storm brewing with possible arrival for this weekend.
