Non stop for the last week. Between getting stuff ready for Christmas, swim meets, parties, shoveling snow, there has not been much idle time. Of course most of the activities are self induced, but it is that time of year.
Cultural event number 1 for the week. Fargo Symphony Christmas Pop concert at the Fargo Theater with my date. Excellent venue, excellent show.
Looks cool in the fresh snow, but it should be out cutting a track with the wheels moving. There are a number of post locked bikes in and around downtown Fargo.
Two swim meets last weekend. One against Moorhead High in which Ben qualified for the ND State Meet in the 500 Freestyle. The photo above is the North High team celebrating their first place overall team finish at the 13th Annual Pentathlon at FN. The Pentathlon is a different type of swim meet in that the boys each swim 5 events with the fastest guy and team overall getting the high point award. I am the score keeper up in the tower which adds stress to my life, but I love it.
The Mark and Susan Knutson wedding Saturday evening. Kriston and I attended with a good group of friends and had a great time. My choice of socks could have been more appropriate.
Skiing up at Maplelag on Sunday morning. Conditions were prefect! +20k by 1pm, the marathon weekend continued.
Cultural event number 2. Dennis Dragger a parent on the swim team offered up tickets to the Lori Line show Sunday afternoon at NDSU. I procrastinated but Kriston grabbed the offer and we enjoyed the show for sure, big time talent.
+5" of new snow throughout the day Monday in Fargo. This snow had adequate moisture in it so we should be set for the winter as far as xc ski conditions go. The Fargo Parks continue to do a great job getting things groomed on a regular basis.
Kriston calls it a labor of love and I agree with her. She spent the majority of the evening Monday making cookies. Kriston loves to bake but hates to roll out the real deal sugar cookies. These are legit! Lots of work but rest assured, we LOVE them!
