I raced the B class 45+ which also included the single speed and women classes. Course was more or less flat but you could tell it has been wet as things were a bit spongy throughout the course. If you let off on the pedals for a second you lost speed instantly which meant that you were grinding the watts continuously. Tight corners, unseen roots and rocks made for a great course. Tiring, but fun for sure. Man, the single speed guys were ripping it taking the top four spots. As usual, check out the results on the MCF page or Skinnyski.
Great venue for a CX race. As you were racing through the rows of apple trees you could smell fermenting fruit in the air. I bought a bag of apples and ate my share on the way home, crisp and sweet.
The driveway into the event.
The course took you up and through the barn on the property.
This was the third race that I have seen this guy. Must be a traveling mascot. Looked rather friendly sitting on the rocks as you rolled up to the barn.
Jake Richard's racing strong, 3rd overall in the B race. Nice job Jake.!
The exit out of the barn. Note the artwork on the outside wall, adds a nice touch.
The barn from the back. Strong foundation, you could tell it has been taken care of.
Saturated ground leading up to the first set of barriers. The mud wasn't flying, but it sucked you in for sure.
Jay Richard's sizing up the competition and shooting photos for Bruce on Skinnyski.
Long way to travel but worth the time for sure. It was a good thing to catch up with Kent and spend a day in the sun racing bike.
Home for sale a block from our house. I promise, the Wenzel's had nothing to do with the touch ups but good humor for sure.....I wonder how mad Millie is going to be.
Sunday, a day home with time to get a bunch of work done around the house. Kriston did her handy work winterizing the plants outside and sealed the deal with a top notch dinner. It can more or less snow a foot in our back yard as we are ready.

Just noticed the Swix temp gauge in the back ground - looking forward to using it soon.
